Moon Baby

This is one of my first pieces of art. Around 2000, when my dad was starting to display symptoms of his dementia, but was still pretty normal, I started drawing and painting on a regular basis.
I had in my possession a box of watercolor paints I had bought in the late seventies when I got back from living in Hawaii and was living in Laguna and signed up for a class.
I only went to one session and never returned. But I kept this box of cake watercolors and a brush.
It turned out the brush was fabulous and I have never been able to replace it. It held a tip and danced with movement. I started painting small paintings and selling them on ebay. My first sale was for $5 or less. I was thrilled that people would actually send money.
I slowly raised my prices but never high enough.
Now I am hanging in a store and having a great time. I think it is better if people can see the work in person. Still ebay was a lot of fun once and I spent eight years glued to the screen of my computer...maybe someday I will get back into it.
