Each year Made In Ojai puts out papier mache hearts for the artists to decorate if they so choose. I didn't get around to doing one this year but several artists did. This is my favorite one: Possibilities by Evergreen Herrick. Isn't it wild? She said she was sitting in her studio wondering what to do with her heart and she grabbed a box of zippers and went for it. I just love this for some reason. There were some other beautifully decorated hearts. One felted heart (beautiful) and one that had brass screws covering the whole heart (kind of like an orange studded with cloves). One woman glued shells all over hers. This heart won second place and the one with the screws won first place! The back side of this has zippers too and the hang is one long zipper.
