One Bloom

It bloomed once...was that enough? All year it processed its nutrients and its little codes and decided when and where it would bloom. In prior years it bloomed all over but this year it only eked out once...just when autumn came it maybe thought, well, it's now or never...so it bloomed. I thought it was a leaf from the liquid amber stuck in the branch at first but then I looked closely and saw a bud...it won't last long. But there it is!!
