This is where my children grew up: a place called Dana Point.
The bluffs over Strands Beach are being developed. It took years and years but it is finally happening. The dusty trail my kids ran down to get to the beach is gone. The old trailer park is gone.
The bluffs are skinned and luxury homes are being built. Rumor has that George Clooney has two lots and the Clintons have one. The Ritz Carlton is nearby on another promitory.
Now there is a concrete path that takes beachgoers down the hill. I like how they keep public access to these exquisite beaches.
I made my way down the path loaded with gear and had a beautiful day at Strands Beach.
It inspired a beach painting.
