A new year. Another day. Same as the old day. I just say silent prayers that the year is good for everyone; no surprises that we can't handle. Growth and prosperity without excess. I never stick to resolutions but I do make them anyway.
This is a painting of a picture I took at the Old Mill in San Marino. It is a persimmon tree and a courtyard of a very old site where the mission people ground their corn. I had trouble making the stones to perspective.
Watercolor is where I started with my art and I love the softness of it.
